📍 Bilbao, 2–4 June 2025

Last week, the AdvancedH2Valley project was featured at the XX Congress of the Spanish Association for Energy Economics (AEEE), held in Bilbao from 2 to 4 June 2025. Our partner Tecnalia actively contributed with a presentation focused on the project’s main objectives and its modelling developments.

The presentation outlined AdvancedH2Valley’s ambition to foster renewable hydrogen deployment in the Loire Valley (France), including:
🔹 11.5 MW of new hydrogen production capacity
🔹 Development of refuelling infrastructure and distribution systems
🔹 Applications in transport, industry, and research
🔹 A robust modelling framework supporting strategic decision-making and environmental impact analysis

Tecnalia also presented its methodology for identifying and designing hydrogen valleys, with a case study focused on Bilbao, covering spatial planning, techno-economic evaluations, and hydrogen pricing scenarios.

Participation in the AEEE Congress was an important opportunity to disseminate the project’s progress within the academic and energy policy communities, while also encouraging knowledge transfer and future replication across European regions
